BRITISH-HELLENIC COLLEGE

BRITISH-HELLENIC COLLEGE was founded in 1989. It aims at offering the opportunity of higher education to Greek students who are interested in studying according to British standards, but at the same time wish to stay in Greece.
This was achieved in co-operation with the University of Wales, which has accredited the BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE.
Today the BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE offers higher education in three different ways:
- Three- or four- year courses for a BACHELOR'S degree in Greece (European Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Psychology)
- Two - year courses in Greece combined with a further two - years at the University of Wales for a BACHELOR'S degree (Mechanical / Civil / Architectural / Electrical and Electronic / Computer Systems Engineering
- MBA (specializations in Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resource Management), MSc in Service Management, MSc in Computing
In addition, since 1999, the BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE has established an Adult Training Centre offering adult training programmes in a variety of subjects.
BRITISH-HELLENIC COLLEGE has developed a remarkable position in the sector of International Educational Relations.
It takes part, along with other educational institutions and with co-operation of foreign universities, in programmes of the European Union.
Already certain programmes within the framework of TEMPUS, LINGUA, PETRA, EUROFORM, TELEMATICS, LIBRARIES, SOCRATES, LEONARDO, FORCE have been approved and carried out.
For all the above programmes the I.R. Office has developed international co-operation with foreign universities and other educational institutions throughout the world.
The Hellenic Language School "Alexander the Great" is one of the older members of the International Educational Association Delta and was founded in 1973.
From 1995 the school has come under the administrative body of the BRITISH HELLENIC COLLEGE and operates in Athens and Chania.
In addition, it cooperates with schools in Thessaloniki, Bulgaria (in three cities), Albania and FYROM, through which is able to offer its programmes.
The school also takes part in many international programmes that are financed by the E.U. (LINGUA, SOCRATES, LEONARDO) and through these has developed innovative teaching material.
